Paella Lovers United is a small but diverse and dedicated team of Austinites committed to bringing people of all backgrounds and ages together through a unique annual event highlighting Spanish culture. The open-fire cookoff began in a backyard in East Austin with eight competing teams, and with the help of scores of volunteers, has grown into an event that attracts people from all over the world, 30+ competing teams, and nearly 1000 enthusiastic attendees. Our mission is to create a memorable experience that delights taste buds, feeds souls, and provides an escape from the mundane.
